becoming an egg donor

Application

Below please find information on ProLiviti’s preliminary requirements to be a donor in our program, types of donations and compensation an egg donor can receive for a donation cycle.

ProLiviti's requirements for being an egg donor:

To become an egg donor in ProLiviti you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be between the ages of 20-30
  • Must have a High School Education
  • Must not be on Public Assistance
  • Do not take Illegal Drugs or smoke
  • Have never been convicted of a crime
  • Be height/weight proportionate
  • Cannot be adopted
  • Must Live in the United States

Do I qualify for ProLiviti’s Premier Donor Program?

Once we receive your application the egg donor coordinator will let you know if you meet our premier qualifications. Determining factors can be as follows, but are not limited too:

  • Successful cycles with proven pregnancies
  • Exceptional professional achievements
  • Superior education background
  • IVY League educated
  • Ethnic background

Donors in our Premier Program generally receive a higher fee.

Types of donations:

There are three types of donations:

  • Anonymous – Most donations are done anonymously. This means that no confidential information will be provided to the Recipients as well as their information will not be provided to you. If for any reason you or the couple should need to be contacted this will be done through ProLiviti.
  • Semi-Open – A semi-open donation is the same as an anonymous donation except the recipients may request to meet with the donor in person. A ProLiviti Egg Donor Coordinator will attend all local meetings. If the meeting takes place during the retrieval that is not local to ProLiviti’s offices the donor can request that a staff member be present.
  • Open – In an open donation the confidential information such as your last name will be provided to the recipients as well as their information provided to you. Both parties must agree for an open donation to occur.

Deciding the type of donation you would prefer is a very important decision. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your options please talk with a Egg Donor Coordinator at any time.

Compensation:

A first time donor generally receives a fee of $5000. You can expect to receive $500 of your compensation when you start medication and the balance upon completion of the retrieval. As long as you complete the retrieval you will receive the balance of your compensation regardless of the outcome. Donor’s in our Premier Program and Repeat Donors can receive a higher fee.
